Google Pay-Per-Action Program Available For Canadian Advertisers


For some days, certain Canadian advertisers have the possibility of setting up Adwords advertising campaigns based on the model of the CPA (Cost-Per-Action), within the framework of a beta program launched in 24 languages.

We thus had the possibility of studying the system and sums in phase of test with one of our advertisers.

The PPA model is available only on the Google content network, on AdSense. Moreover, the participants in the programs must select the advertisements CPA in the section “Produced” of their account Google Adsense (on the other hand, it was impossible to us to check the presence of these advertisements in the AdSense accounts which we manage).

With the CPA model, the visitor click an advertisement, but the advertisers pay only when the consumer really complete an action (such as a purchase or to be registered for a bulletin) on their Web site.

The giant of search launched on United States only the beta test of CPA in March in order to obtain feedback on the feasibility and the profitability of the program.

The option to create PPA campaigns is integrated directly in the accounts of AdWords.

This model is particularly attractive for the merchants and the sites of E-trade, but also all those whose their model of businesses rests on the acquisition of prospective customers qualified (of the leads).

The majority of the advertisers seek a specific number of conversions, or a specific KING their campaigns, and this model can serve the two objectives.

Google also positions the CPA as an advantage for the AdSense editors looking for a greater control on the advertisements on their sites.

The editors can choose the advertisements CPA individually, as a group, or by key word -- and this type of advertisement is not in competition with the advertisements based on CPC or CPM.

With the recent acquisition of DoubleClick by Google, Google made by the fact even the acquisition of Performics, one of the principal affiliate marketing platforms on the United States.
